Record Voter Turnout of 67.08% in Delhi Elections

Delhi voted for a new government today, Election Commission officials have confirmed an unprecedented 67.08% voter turnout. Polling happened across 70 constituencies in the capital.

 

The main contest is seen as a direct fight between the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

 

Over 12,000 polling stations, of which 714 had been identified as “critical” and 191 “highly critical” had been set up in Delhi. A total of over 1.33 crore voters are eligible to exercise their franchise.
