LS Elections: Phase 8 Polling Ends

High polling turnout was registered in phase 8 of LS elections in 64 constituencies. West Bengal has highest turnout with 81.28 per cent in the six seats. Seemandhra registered 76 per cent, where people voted to select 25 representatives to Lok Sabha and 175 members of the proposed assembly simultaneously.

 

In Uttar Pradesh, voters’ turnout of was 55.52 per cent where as in Bihar it was 58 per cent.

 

So far, voting has been completed in 502 of the total of 543 constituencies and the remaining 41 seats will go to polls in the last round on May 12.
